What this site stores

Comparisons you save. When you save a comparison, the object names and dimensions you entered are stored and given a public link. Anyone with that link can see them, and they may appear in search results, so don't put anything private in the names.
Share images. If you create a share image, that picture is stored and served publicly.
Your browser's local storage. Your current comparison and saved lists are kept in your own browser, not on the server.
Item searches. When you look up an object's size, the words you type are sent to the services listed below and the answer is cached so the next person asking the same thing gets it faster.
A short code derived from your IP address, used only to limit how many searches one visitor can run per hour. It cannot be turned back into your address.

Other companies involved

Google AdSense shows the ads and may use cookies to choose them. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
StatCounter counts visits.
OpenAI and Jina AI receive the words you type into item search, so their systems can find and read an object's published dimensions.
bunny.net hosts the site and delivers its files.

Cookies and consent

Advertising cookies are set by Google, not by this site. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time through the same prompt.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Removing something

If you saved a comparison you want taken down, get in touch with its link and it will be removed. Email comparesizessite@gmail.com.
